“And above all watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” Roald Dahl
Hi there! I’m Jesye, and since graduating in 2013 I’ve been living in Milan, Italy. I’m a teacher, a traveler, and love throwing myself into new projects.
I’ve wanted to see the world for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are looking through my grandmother’s jewelry box, listening to stories of the markets all over the world where she picked up each piece, or making little piles of foreign coins from a secret drawer my grandfather’s giant desk. However, I officially caught the travel-bug while studying abroad in Granada, Spain my junior year of college.
I grew up in New York State, but have spent all of my adult life living the dolce vita in Milan. It’s been an amazing adventure! As a teacher, I get to spend my days working with the coolest kids from all over the world, and my free time traveling Europe. In Italy, I’m working on developing my skills as a Domestic Goddess in Training; I can’t leave Italy without perfecting my pasta-making skills!
Though travel is my passion, a lot of my other hobbies are not quite as adventurous. I love to read (especially fantasy and historical fiction), crafting, and baking cupcakes. I play guitar terribly, love writing, and enjoy the struggle of learning a new language. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’d love to hear from you- please feel free to contact me with any questions on my contact page.
